Mark Welton joined the Company in July 1997 as Director, Business Affairs and was appointed Global President, IMAX Theatres in October 2011. Before that, Welton held the position of Executive Vice President, Corporate and Digital Development & Theatre Operation since April 2007. He has held various other positions within the Company including: Senior Vice President, Business Affairs; Senior Vice President, Theatre Operations; and Executive Vice President, Theatre Operations & General Manager, Digital. Prior to joining the Company, Welton was an associate lawyer at the law firm Stikeman, Elliot LLP from 1994 until his employment with the Company. Prior to that, Welton was an associate accountant at Ernst & Young. Welton is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
