Heather Morgan
Heather Morgan joined IMAX in June 2025 as Head of Global Distribution, where she leads global content strategy and curation across the company’s extensive global network, overseeing programming for a growing portfolio of films, events, and experiences annually. Prior to joining the Company, she served as Chief Content Officer at Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas, where she directed film curation, studio partnerships, promotional strategies, and revenue optimization across 42 locations and 350 screens. Morgan originally joined Alamo as Chief of Staff and Strategy, playing a key role in the company’s acquisition by Sony Pictures Entertainment in 2024. Morgan has also held senior content and programming roles at Harkins Theatres and AMC Entertainment, where she developed and executed nationwide film strategies. Currently, she also serves as Chairman of the Board for the Will Rogers Motion Pictures Pioneers Foundation. Morgan is based in Los Angeles and holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Kansas State University.
